About Us

Palone Brothers Air Conditioning is a mechanical contracting company founded in 1928 on the principle of making our customers and employees part of the family. Spanning four generations, we are family-owned and operated out of Brooklyn, NY, and serve both the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas.

We provide installation and service for both residential and commercial applications. Our specialties include design and build services, plan and spec projects, custom ductwork, ventilation, and old system replacements. With Palone Bros.’s extensive knowledge and versatility, we provide a uniquely pleasant experience for your cooling or heating needs.

Our Story

Palone Bros. was originally founded as Eddie’s Refrigeration back in 1928, by Edward Palone. Amidst the turmoil caused by the U.S. Great Depression, and against seemingly impossible odds, Eddie was able to grow the company and transform a passion into a reputable and profitable company. Around 20 years later, John (the eldest of his sons) had just come back from the Navy and was eager to begin working with his father. Soon after, one of the younger brothers, Vincent, joined him in the joint business venture with their father. Together, they expanded in Brooklyn, and slowly began to shift the company’s focus from primarily refrigeration, to air conditioning and heating.

After Eddie passed away, John and Vincent took over the operation and eventually decided to enlarge our customer base into Manhattan. Now separated into (2) divisions, Vinny and John Sr. began to introduce the company and field to their children.
